Sheppards Moon

Sheppards Moon:

Born out of a love to up-cycle and re-imagine new and beautiful uses for pre-loved objects and by seeing unusual new ways to repurpose things which may end up in landfill. Whilst society drowns in mass produced items we excel in making unique renewed items both practical and decorative.

Our range currently includes rings and jewellery made from stainless steel cutlery, purchased from local charity shops, we believe in supporting local good causes. As the jewellery is stainless steel it keeps its lustre beautifully, does not tarnish and is hypoallergenic.

Our Kintsugi made by repairing broken ceramics embraces and enhances the crack's imperfections healed with gold kin to form tsugi, a gift for healing (gold joinery). This can also be seen as a metaphor for overcoming difficulties in life placing value in the lived experience and embracing that which makes us stronger, represented in the restoration of ceramics.

Sustainability Ethos:

work on the ethos of restoring and up-cycling mostly pre-loved pieces rather than importing Japanese pottery. This keeps the carbon footprint down and enables me to help and support my local environment. All packaging is either recycled or recyclable.

We have other exciting projects coming up soon.
